Changes of Cardiopulmonary Functions and Physical Strengths of UDT Students by Diving Training for 12 Weeks

Abstract
For 12 weeks, six UDT students are engaged in a diving training course. Before and after the diving training, we estimate that changes of cardiopulmonary functions and physical strengths of UDT students and obtained
as follow results.
General characteristics of subjects are 20.2 year old in age, 172.6cm in height and 0.5 year in military career.
After diving traing, physical characteristics such as hip cirumfence and body fat percent are significantly reduced but chest circumference, waist circumference, bideltoid width and weight are not revealed any significant changes. The incrase
rate
of
right and left hand grip are more steeper than that of back strength. Pulse rate are reduced about 3.8 beast/min but there are no changes in blood pressure. Of the pulmonary functions, increase in vital capacity and decrease in FEV1 is observed.
The
increase of VO2max between 2 weeks reserch period is remarkable as compared to other study results and reveals 17.48ml/kg/min increase.
